California Dharma Celebration at KMC Hollywood

Everyone is welcome to join in this powerful weekend event where Gen Kelsang Rigpa, the National Spiritual Director of the Western United States, will grant the blessing empowerment of Wisdom Buddha Je Tsongkhapa and give teachings on Kadam Lamrim: Practical Wisdom for Modern Times.
Through receiving the empowerment of Je Tsongkhapa, we will make a special connection to the enlightened beings, the Buddhas, and the seeds of spiritual attainments will be sown in our heart. By practicing the extraordinarily clear teachings of Kadam Lamrim with the inspiration and guidance of Je Tsongkhapa we awaken within our heart the qualities of wisdom, compassion, and spiritual strength that he embodies.
The annual California Dharma Celebration is a wonderful opportunity for people throughout California to gather together to receive practical, inspiring teachings and meet spiritual friends. Whether new to Buddhism or an experienced practitioner, everyone is welcome to this weekend celebration. The event will take place in Los Angeles at Kadampa Meditation Center Hollywood.
Profits raised by the California Dharma Celebration are dedicated for public benefit to the International Temples Project and used for the development of the Kadampa Meditation Centers and Temple Projects throughout the world. This project was founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, with the aim to introduce the Buddhist faith and practice of the New Kadampa Tradition publicly.
Our founder, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso is the inspiration behind the California Dharma Celebration. He is a fully accomplished meditation master, internationally renowned teacher of Buddhism, and founder of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union.
