February 21, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

$20

small snip sacredBringing the Sacred into the World: Rituals & Symbols in Modern Buddhism

What makes a book or an image or a place holy? A pure mind observing an object with faith is what makes the object sacred. In this short workshop we will investigate the meanings behind some of our rituals in the Kadampa Buddhist tradition, with an emphasis on getting to the heart of all spiritual practice — a mind of faith.

– What is the meaning behind the practice of daily offerings and tsog offerings?

– What do the symbols in traditional representations of Buddhist images mean?

– If Buddhists don’t believe in God, why do we make prayers?

This workshop will be presented in two parts with a break for refreshments. Guided meditations and Q & A sessions included. No pre-registration required.

Everyone is Welcome!
