Why meditate?
When distracting and and turbulent thoughts subside, we can experience our own inner peace.
Join us at 1825 State Street Suite 202, upstairs.
Wednesday evening In-person
6:30 - 7:30 pm (No class November 27, December 25)
Sometimes it seems that no matter how much energy we put into navigating life’s complexities a stable experience of contentment eludes us. Painful states of mind, such as anxiety, dissatisfaction, and anger continue to sabotage all our hard work.
We can use the philosophy of Buddhism to help us understand why this happens and learn reliable methods to shift our efforts into creating a stable happiness, regardless of our external conditions.
Each class begins with a guided breathing meditation and Dharma talk, and culminates with a second meditation based upon the evening’s topic. Drop in to any or all classes. Suitable for beginners or those with meditation experience. Open to everyone.
Drop in: Suggested Class Donation, $15
Membership: Class included with GP, FP and Benefactor Membership
