$15Meditations for Taking the Edge Off
Overcoming anxiety sounds like a lot of work, doesn’t it? But what is anxiety? Like depression, anxiety and other uncomfortable states of mind are temporary, which means they can change. Join us for these drop-in classes to learn Buddhist meditations for changing our mind from negative to positive.
This Friday’s class title is Wishfulfillment. In this class we will use Buddhist logic to observe how expectations for the fulfillment of our own wishes is actually the main source of our disappointment, worry, and other very uncomfortable states of mind.
Each class begins with a guided breathing meditation and culminates with a second meditation based upon the evening’s topic. Drop in to any or all classes in this course. Perfect for beginners or those with meditation experience. Taught by our Resident Teacher, Keli Vaughan.
Class fee $15 or Bring A Friend for $20. Free for Santa Barbara and Lompoc Foundation Program students and monthly members.
