About the Weekend:
The quickest way to make progress in anything in life is to rely upon the skillful guidance of a person who is already fully accomplished in what we are trying to achieve. For example, in our ordinary education we need to rely upon the help of well-qualified teachers to guide us from the level of nursery school to the completion of college or university training. This is also true in our spiritual life – we need to rely upon an authentic and well-qualified Spiritual Guide to help us make swift progress in our spiritual training.
During this special weekend event with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, Resident Teacher of KMC Canada and retired General Spiritual Director of the NKT-IKBU, we will explore three essential aspects of Kadampa reliance based on the precious teachings of the Ganden Oral Lineage. By receiving the special blessings of the spiritual guide, attainments from our personal deity and the protection of an enlightened Dharma protector we can swiftly make progress in our practice of Lamrim, Lojong and Mahamudra and complete the spiritual path for the benefit of all living beings.
About the Teacher:
Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada and the National Spiritual Director of Canada. A retired General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT-IKBU), he has trained closely with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for nearly thirty-five years. Gen-la Khyenrab is an internationally renowned teacher and Buddhist monk who is greatly admired for his powerful teachings as well as his pure example of humility and loving-kindness.
