The Blessing Empowerment of Green Tara
An empowerment is a beautiful Buddhist blessing ritual and guided meditation through which we make a deep connection with a Buddha’s enlightened mind, bringing peace, hope, and happiness to ourselves and others.
Keli Vaughan, Resident Teacher at Mahakankala Buddhist Center, will grant the blessing empowerment of the enlightened Deity Arya Tara and give teachings on how to rely upon Tara in our daily life.
Who is Arya Tara?
By offering praises and requests to Mother Tara, the female Buddha of wisdom and active compassion, we increase our fearlessness and swift wisdom and come under Tara’s loving care and protection. Her green-colored body symbolizes that she is the fully purified wind element and can respond swiftly to the prayers of those in need. In lifetime after lifetime, Tara has manifested in female form to demonstrate that enlightenment is attainable for men and women alike.
Many people turn to Buddha Tara whenever they need protection from anxiety, fear, or depression. Also known as “liberator from all misfortune”, she is a powerful object of refuge for our troubled world.
