Being Like Buddha: a day course on refuge

Saturday March 20th 10am – 4pm
$40, includes lunch
Kelsang Wangpo, an American Buddhist monk will explain the benefits and profound meaning of Buddhist refuge, followed by a brief Refuge Ceremony in which he will grant the blessings of going for refuge.
The mind of going for refuge characterizes the Buddhist way of life and is the foundation for all spiritual realizations.
By going for refuge to Buddha, Dharma and Sangha we make a decision to take Buddhas’ teachings to heart, rely upon them sincerely, and put the Dharma into practice in our daily life, thus firmly placing our feet on the path to the blissful inner peace of enlightenment.
You are welcome to attend only the teaching and then decide whether you wish to take the vows.
You can pre-register for the class here:
Guided retreat sessions will be provided the week following the course and vows so that everyone can deepen their refuge practice as they wish.
